Mr. Aurélien Rocher is a French lawyer and academic with extensive expertise in digital law and corporate law.

After being sworn in as a lawyer in Lyon in 2014, he began his career in Switzerland, working in the legal departments of Big Four firms, where he created and led the team dedicated to new technology law for one of them. Alongside his work as a practitioner, he has continuously developed his academic, teaching, and research activities, focusing on business and digital law. This unique career path has led him to develop particular expertise in cross-border issues, based on his in-depth knowledge of European regulations and his practice in Swiss law.

Accustomed to working in multidisciplinary teams, he brings a pragmatic vision and ensures that his legal advice is aimed at both legal compliance and the fulfillment of his clients’ strategic objectives. With numerous publications in Switzerland and internationally (notably in France, Canada, China, and the United States), some of which have been referenced in scientific blogs at Harvard and Oxford Universities, he draws on his precise knowledge of applicable regulations in his legal projects. When foreign national laws are relevant, he mobilizes his network of foreign colleagues and academics to anticipate and manage reforms impacting the digital sector.

Aurélien holds a doctorate in law from the University of Lyon 3, thanks to a thesis in corporate law that was awarded the French Institute of Directors’ prize for research in governance. He also holds a law degree and a master’s degree and diploma in corporate legal advice (DJCE) in business law and taxation from the University of Lyon 3.
