Matthias Traussnig is an English-speaking criminal defense lawyer in Geneva. His practice covers litigation, criminal law, technology law and business law, in particular criminal and civil disputes, Web3, digital finance, crypto-asset regulation and cybersecurity. He handles payment fraud cases in particular, including those involving an AI agent.

His background includes three years at the Office of the Public Prosecutor of the Canton of Geneva, which gave him first-hand knowledge of how criminal justice works in Geneva. He also sits as a lay judge (juge assesseur) on the Criminal Appeals and Review Chamber (CPAR) of the Geneva Court of Justice.

After working at a Big Four firm, he was a Senior Manager in a practice dedicated to new technologies, where he advised numerous blockchain projects and digital finance companies.

He is a member of the Geneva Bar Association and the Swiss Bar Association. He has lectured on blockchain-related fraud in the CAS in Digital Finance Law at the University of Geneva and has spoken at other conferences.

He founded arnaques-suisse.ch, a website on scams in Switzerland and the first steps to take.

Aurélien Rocher is both an attorney and an academic, practicing in technology law and corporate law. Admitted to the Lyon Bar in 2014, he built his career in Switzerland at Big Four firms, at one of which he set up and led a team dedicated to new technology law.

Corporate law is at the center of his practice, alongside technology law. He also teaches and conducts research in business and technology law. His doctorate and academic work give him analytical rigor and a sense of where regulatory frameworks are heading.

Aurélien Rocher is a member of the Lyon Bar and an Associate Professor (maître de conférences) at Université Lumière Lyon 2. He works with Sentinel Legal on cross-border matters between France and Switzerland, particularly in technology and corporate law, in compliance with the professional rules of each bar.

Özgür Saglam focuses on criminal and civil litigation, with a particular interest in matters with an economic dimension. With a Master’s degree in economic law and a diploma from the Geneva Bar School, he followed a curriculum at the crossroads of criminal and business law, which gave him a solid grounding in white-collar criminal law, in particular offenses against property and offenses connected with the running and management of companies.

Within the firm, he takes part in the analysis of cases, the development of legal strategy and the drafting of submissions to the judicial authorities. He also handles first contact with clients, the opening of new matters and their administrative follow-up.

His background includes several years with the Students’ Legal Aid Clinic (Permanence juridique des étudiants), where he advised and assisted many people before chairing it. He also sits as a lay judge (juge assesseur) on the Criminal Appeals and Review Chamber (CPAR) of the Geneva Court of Justice.

Sylvie Buscaglia practices at Convergence Avocats, the firm she co-founded. She has more than ten years of experience in real estate, construction and planning law. Sentinel Legal works with her, as partner attorney, on matters with a real estate component, whether litigation, transactions or administrative proceedings.

Before founding Convergence Avocats, she worked as an associate at two Geneva firms focused on real estate law and as legal counsel in the legal department of the Geneva Building Permits Office (OAC). She also served as legal advisor at the Geneva Real Estate Chamber (CGI Conseils) and worked with the Geneva Foundation for Industrial Land (FTI).

Active in public and professional life, she is a lay judge at the Administrative Court of First Instance (construction section, LCI), a member of the Advisory Commission on Spatial Planning (CAT), an alternate member of the Geneva Bar Commission and a member of the Geneva Bar Association.
