This privacy policy describes how Sentinel Legal (Matthias Traussnig, attorney, sole proprietorship) (the Firm, we) processes the personal data of visitors and of persons who contact it through the site sentinelegal.ch (the Site).

Data processing is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and its ordinance. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies — in particular in respect of persons located in the EU — the corresponding provisions are reserved.
2. Data we process
Depending on your interaction with the Site, we may process: contact data you provide voluntarily (name, first name, email address, telephone number, the content of your message); and navigation data collected automatically (IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, date and time of access, referring site), processed for security, statistics and improvement of the Site.
We do not collect sensitive data through the Site and ask that you do not send us confidential information relating to a matter via the contact form or unencrypted email until a mandate has been formally established.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process your data to respond to your requests, to assess and where applicable perform a mandate, to ensure the operation and security of the Site, and to comply with our legal and professional obligations. These processing activities rest, as the case may be, on your consent, on pre-contractual measures or the performance of a contract, on our legitimate interest, or on a legal obligation.
4. Cookies and audience measurement
The Site uses technical cookies necessary for its operation and, subject to your consent, audience-measurement and functionality cookies. You may set or withdraw your consent at any time via the dedicated banner. The Site may use tools provided by third parties (notably Google) for statistics and improvement of our services; they are activated only with your consent and may involve a transfer of data abroad, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Disclosure and transfer of data
Your data is disclosed to third parties only to the extent necessary for the purposes described, in particular to our technical service providers (hosting, maintenance), who are bound by confidentiality. A transfer outside Switzerland takes place only to countries offering adequate protection or subject to appropriate safeguards. The professional secrecy of the lawyer (art. 13 LLCA, art. 321 SCC) is reserved and prevails.
6. Retention period
We retain your data for as long as necessary for the purposes pursued, then for the periods imposed by our legal obligations. Simple contact data with no follow-up is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. As no transmission over the Internet is entirely secure, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
8. Your rights
You have a right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction, as well as a right to object to certain processing. Where processing rests on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. 9. Changes
